Newcastle Rescue & Consultancy Pty Ltd provide confined space 2 day training for persons who are required to enter and work in confined spaces, test for toxic gases and operate (wear) breathing apparatus. Our course is Nationally Recognised and is in accordance with the Australian Standard 2865-2009 and relevant Codes of Practice.
The confined space 2 day training course is structured to ensure participants have the understanding of hazards and the requirements needed to enter and work in a confined space. Participants will gain relevant skills in identifying the scope of work covered by relevant permits, ensuring that the right type of permit has been issued for the correct type of work. The gas detection unit is designed to teach participants how to use and read a gas monitor, and be familiar with what gases to test for. The breathing apparatus unit is designed to teach participants on how to operate SCBA in a safe and operational manner. Throughout the training, participants will be introduced to a number of hazards, including claustrophobia.
